Too dark, pre-occupied, self-critical, and cranky to write much this week. That, and watching McCain disintegrate against the backdrop of the Great Unwinding is so engrossing and entertaining, who has time for anything else?
This is all just amazing. There IS a God, as the saying goes, and she’s winding up for the big pitch. What an astounding time to be alive.

How true, how true. It’s interesting to see the punditocracy desperately attempt to spin the debate tonight into a McCain victory. But it seems fairly clear that Obama won.

Ah so. Guy gets mauled by mountain lion. Yep, that can happen. Around here most people just call them “lions,” too. I heard a great story once about how the village drunk in San Cristobal was knocked down but now clawed by a lion. The postmistress told me that lion probably left him alone “because he smelled so bad.” She should know!
