Welcome to FarrFeed

Okay, things are heating up, metaphorically speaking.

See that (below)? That’s just the first few miles of a 188-mile roundtrip commute my wife will be making once a week starting the last week of August. She’ll be teaching piano at Adams State College in Alamosa, CO, taking over for a professor on sabbatical for the fall semester. A good part-time job for her, being a former professor herself!

Can’t complain about the traffic

The only thing is, that gives us just over a month, realistically speaking, to find either a bigger house or a piano studio here in Taos. Later than that, she won’t be able to deal with moving or having her baby grand shipped down from Iowa. And after driving up there, teaching for five hours, spending the night, and coming back the next morning, she’ll want to ease into what passes for normal living. So we have to have a place. It’s time.

The days of the wood-heated ramshackle studio next door are over. That means this old adobe has probably got to go as well. Time to move! But where??? C’mon, Taos, gimme a clue.
