FYI, this was an official campaign pic handed out as buttons in Austin and probably other places as well. I like him better without the hat. Presidents who wear cowboy hats haven’t done the country any favors, recently.

Glad to know the provenance. I sympathize with your cowboy hat antipathy, but I like cowboy hats.:-) Wear a few of ‘em, too. You have to remember that the present occupant of the White House is just a jive turkey without an ounce of cowboy in him.
I like Obama w/o the cowboy hat too. Hell, I just like Obama.

Well, there’s the current resident, his Dad, Reagan and even LBJ is not up there amongst my favorite presidents.
Besides which, to me this picture looks uncomfortably like a remake of Blazing Saddles.
