Welcome to FarrFeed

I think we all need some of this! I know I do.

Behold the Finnish rock band called the Leningrad Cowboys performing “Sweet Home Alabama” (in English) at a concert in Moscow WITH the Red Army Chorus. I suggest having a stiff drink first, and maybe a few other things. Listen all the way to the end for a fine Slavic finish!

Great shoes, huh? And how about them “mushrat” hairdos!

    FUCKIN’ A - that’s some REAL MEDICINE!!!!!

i mean just forget all about the whole irony of the former “enemy” (those darn reds!) out-rockin’ america with one of our own songs, all that shit is irrelevant. this is just a great fuckin’ time all around!!

the expression on the face of that one army guy playing the giant bass-bouzouki i think says it all.

what really gets me is the sincerity and unadulterated joy being expressed, something which american rock (and so much american art in general) has had crushed out of it for the most part thanks to corporate control and greed. everything here is so manufactured and manipulative, you have to really dig to find something Truly Genuine. it’s the same reaction i had when i recently started getting into Bollywood movies - joy, sincerity, genuine human feeling, and “man, we sure don’t make ‘em like THIS anymore” (definitely check out a fantastic Bollywood film from 2003 called “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” starring the incomparable Sanjay Dutt to see what i mean).
