I do not like the sound of this. From Earthfiles:

Cable linking Qatar to the United Arab Emirates was damaged on Sunday, February 3, causing more telecommunication disruptions. Egypt’s Communications Ministry reported Sunday that damage to the undersea internet cables in the Mediterranean was not caused by ship anchors, as previously speculated. In fact, the Egyptian transport ministry said that onshore video cameras at the location of the damaged cables did not show any ship traffic in the area when the communication cables were damaged.

Third damaged cable on Friday, February 1, 2008, is called Falcon and provides communication to countries in the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, according to Dow Jones Newswires. On Thursday, January 31, 2008, two other undersea fiber optic cables owned by Flag Telecom and consortium SeaMeWe-4 between Alexandria, Egypt and Palermo, Italy, were cut - according to Du, a state-owned Dubai telecom provider. Stephan Beckert, an analyst with TeleGeography, told CNN the first two damaged cables provide the majority of international communications between Europe and the Middle East.

That’s most of the whole post. You can google “fourth undersea cable cut” to find more articles on the subject. Remember, that’s four undersea cables cut in the Middle East region in recent days, disrupting communications with Iran, among others. How could that be a coincidence, folks?

UPDATE: If you google and follow the links, you’ll see that there may — read, may — be innocent explanations for at least this last instance, which some sources are calling a shutdown, not a “cut.” I still say this smells like a rat, although one would think that the Pentagon could bring down any Internet network it wants to without resorting to physically cutting cables.

However, it’s a measure of how far things we’ve fallen in this country that believing the bastards would start a another illegal war, even in the last year of an illegitimate presidency, is so easy for a lot of us. The damage done by the Bush administration on its way out will be appalling in any case: they’re already giving away oil leases and authorizing roads in wilderness areas as fast as they can. If they can figure a way to break Social Security and Medicare, they surely will as well. These people have no souls, and the most dangerous days of all are just ahead of us.

Mmm—-. After reading all the comments on Google about undersea cable cutting it appears the Bush Criminality Cabal is fixin’ to begin their next Murikan Great Crusade, i.e., steal the Iranian oil reserves. All, of course in the name of spreading peace and freedom and democracy and ‘fawtin turr’ over yonder in them Mideast lands’.
